Psychotherapy (Relational)

Therapy isn’t just about talking; it’s also about what happens in the space between us. This approach uses the therapeutic relationship itself as a lens to explore and repair patterns that show up in your life.

Psychotherapy (Relational)

Relational psychotherapy begins with a simple truth: we are shaped in relationship. Many of the patterns we struggle with, how we connect, how we protect ourselves, how we lose or hold boundaries, are learned early, often in response to our closest relationships. This approach makes space to explore those patterns not just in words, but in what unfolds between us.

In this work, the therapeutic relationship is part of the process. What shows up between us, whether it’s trust, defensiveness, distance, anger, or something harder to name, is often a mirror of how relationships feel elsewhere in your life. Rather than pathologising that, we explore it together. This can be especially helpful if you’ve felt stuck in certain relational dynamics, struggled to feel close to others, or carry emotional habits that no longer serve you.

Relational Therapy That Grows in Connection

Over the years, I’ve seen how powerful it can be when therapy stops being something done to you, and instead becomes something we build together. I don’t sit at a distance. I show up with curiosity, honesty, and care, so that we can pay attention not just to what you say, but to how it feels to be in the room.

My approach is informed by relational psychotherapy, psychoanalytic therapy, and somatic work. That means we’re not rushing to fix, but noticing what happens, emotionally, physically, and relationally, as it happens. At Modern Holistic Psychiatry, this kind of work unfolds slowly, with space for reflection, insight, and meaningful change. It’s about learning to trust, yourself, others, and the process of healing.
