Comprehensive Lifestyle Evaluation

Mental health is never just in your mind. It’s shaped by what and how you eat, how you sleep, how you move, how you recover. By your routines, your relationships, your stress responses, and the systems around you. A lifestyle evaluation at Modern Holistic Psychiatry is an invitation to look at the full ecology of your wellbeing, not through the lens of blame or self-optimization, but with curiosity, care, and clinical depth.

Often, by the time someone comes to this work, they’ve tried a number of approaches. Medication, therapy, mindfulness apps, diets. Some have helped. Some haven’t. What’s usually missing isn’t effort, it’s integration. That’s where this process begins. Together, we explore the landscape of your daily life: your sleep rhythms, your energy levels, your nutrition and gut health, your relationships with rest and movement, your supplement and medication history, your capacity and your constraints. It’s about seeing what’s been sustaining you, what might be depleting you, and what’s quietly asking for change. This may happen over one or several sessions depending on your unique situation.

A Holistic Lens on Daily Life

This is not about rigid rules or lifestyle prescriptions. It’s about understanding the patterns beneath the surface. Why does your energy crash in the afternoons? Why is sleep elusive, even when you’re tired? What happens in your system after a stressful interaction, or a skipped meal, or a day spent caring for everyone else? These questions matter, because they tell us where your nervous system is compensating, and what kind of support it’s asking for.

My approach is informed by clinical training in psychiatric care, psychotherapy, and somatic approaches, as well as ongoing understanding of integrative, trauma-informed, and relational models of healing. This work is not about perfect habits, it’s about practical shifts that meet you where you are. Small, sustainable changes that bring your system into better balance, so that you can show up more fully in your life.
