Therapy for Partners of Sex Workers in New York

If your partner does sex work, you may be navigating a set of experiences that feel deeply personal and not always understood by those around you. You might be sorting through relationship dynamics around intimacy, boundaries, or trust. You might be carrying stress from stigma, feeling isolated from your community, or unsure who it’s safe to talk to. Sometimes the weight isn’t coming from the relationship itself, but from how others see it.

At Modern Holistic Psychiatry, I offer support that is nonjudgmental, affirming, and rooted in respect, for your relationship, your values, and your emotional reality. This is not a space for questioning your relationship, but for supporting you within it, whatever that looks like to you.

A Nonjudgmental Space for Reflection and Care

I’ve worked closely with sex workers and their partners, and I understand how things like stigma, policing, safety concerns, or privacy can shape your day-to-day experience. You might be trying to support your partner while also navigating your own thoughts and feelings. That can bring up complexity, and it deserves space and care.

In our work, we can talk about emotional overwhelm, relational tension, shame, grief, or whatever else feels present. We might draw from psychotherapy, somatic support, mindfulness, or medication when appropriate. This is not a space for pathologising your relationship. It’s a space for you to reflect, regulate, and reconnect with your own clarity and steadiness.
