Mental Health Support for Artists
Being an artist means working with vulnerability every day. Whether you’re making visual work, music, or anything in between, you’re often creating from your own experience. While also dealing with external pressures such as feedback, financial pressure, or the quiet uncertainty of doing something that doesn’t always have a clear path.
Many of the artists I work with describe feeling emotionally exposed, stuck, or disconnected from their practice. Others are dealing with rejection, instability, or a loss of connection to their creative voice. Whatever brings you here, this is a space where you don’t need to perform, explain, or have it all figured out.
A Space to Stay Connected to Your Work—and to Yourself
I work with visual artists, musicians, performers, and multi-disciplinary creatives who are navigating the emotional complexities of their work and their lives. My own background in visual art and feminist philosophy helps me hold these conversations with care and nuance. I know that your practice is personal, and that showing up for it can be exhausting when your mental health is stretched thin.
Our work might focus on performance anxiety, creative blocks, or the weight of being visible. We might also tend to deeper emotional patterns or trauma that shape your creative process. Together we can draw from psychotherapy, somatic practices, mindfulness, and medication support when needed. This is care shaped around your needs, your pace, and your practice.
