Therapy for Burnout
Burnout doesn’t always look like collapse. Sometimes it looks like functioning on autopilot, saying “I’m fine” when you’re anything but. It can build slowly, shaped by years of overextension, caregiving, people-pleasing, or simply surviving in systems that reward output over wellbeing. You might feel numb, irritable, disconnected from joy, or like you’ve lost a part of yourself you can’t name.
At Modern Holistic Psychiatry, burnout is not seen as weakness—it’s a sign that your system has been trying to do too much, for too long, with too little support. Whether you're navigating burnout symptoms for the first time or have been living in a state of depletion for years, this space offers something different: rest, reflection, and a way back to yourself.
Therapy That Centres Recovery, Not Just Resilience
Burnout recovery begins with understanding what your system has been holding and how it learned to keep going, even past its limits. We start there, gently. Together, we may work with talk therapy, somatic practices to help regulate your nervous system, and parts work to understand the inner pressures that drive overdoing or self-silencing. Sometimes we explore boundary repair, or how early dynamics around care and worth still shape how you show up for others (and yourself).
This work might also include mind-body tools to restore connection and calm, values clarification to help reorient what matters most, or support in building a life with more spaciousness and less urgency. If you're experiencing artist burnout, professional exhaustion, or the quiet fatigue of always being the one others rely on, we hold space for that too. Burnout therapy here isn’t about returning to who you were before. It’s about creating space for who you’re becoming, slowly, intentionally, and with care that honours your limits.
